From a very young age, cleaning wasn't just a chore for me; it was a science, a discipline. My name is Krissia Arcos, and for years, my professional life was immersed in environments where tidiness wasn't an option, but an imperative necessity: pharmaceutical laboratories, hospitals, and prestigious universities like Duke, UNC, Grifols ,Novo Nordisk, BioMerieux, Hospira, Becton Dickinson, Mallinckrodt, and NC State.
In these places, I learned the highest standards of hygiene and disinfection. Every surface, every piece of equipment, every corner had to comply with strict protocols, free of contaminants and with an impeccability that went beyond the visible. I developed an obsession for detail, an ability to identify even the tiniest dust particle, and a methodology that guaranteed not only cleanliness but also the safety and well-being of those who moved through those spaces.
A Glimpse at a New Need
However, despite my dedication to high-level cleaning, my heart was often touched when observing the realities of daily life. I saw elderly people struggling to keep their homes sparkling, their bodies no longer having the strength or agility for the most demanding tasks. I also saw young families, exhausted by the demands of work, children, and modern life, with little time and energy to dedicate to deep, meticulous cleaning.
I realized that while the professional world demanded my skills, there was an urgent and unmet need in the homes of my community. These individuals, though not working in sterile laboratories, deserved a clean, healthy, and serene environment. They needed a standard of cleanliness that they might not be able to achieve themselves, but which I knew how to provide.
